Maintenance Operator
Based in Flushing near Falmouth
Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
Remuneration: Competitive package to include private health care, matched pension contributions and life and accident insurance
Initial three month contract
Falmouth Boat Co. is recruiting a Maintenance Operative for an inital contract of three months to cover the extended absence of the current member of staff in conjunction with assisting tyhe yard operations of lifting and launching boats.
Principally, a general all round labourer is needed to maintain the site and buildings of this Flushing boatyard. It will be your responsibility to keep premises tidy and in good working order.
Duties include:
- Day to day waste management including sweeping and clearing bins
- Maintenace tasks such as painting and carpentry
- Helping to keep workshops tidy with health and safety in mind
- Minor repairs to buildings
- Managing and maintaining the slipways
- Working closely with the Maintenance/Purchasing Manager
- Working well with the 25 strong team of marine tradespeople
Requirements:
- Skill and experience in painting and carpentry
- Attention to detail
