Hull Repair, Engineering, Refit

At the end of last year we received Spirit of St Agnes, a catamaran ferry that transfers passengers around the Scillies.

In just over two months we gave her a full refit, respray and fitted new engines. In January she sustained impact damage to the bow. After a temporary repair job in the Scillies, she returned to us. As a commercial boat time was of the essence as the longer she was out of service the more inconvenient for visitors to the islands as well as the owners.

Mark Mason
Tamar 47 Class RNLI Lifeboat
Repair

We've worked on RNLI lifeboats for more than 25 years but this was our first time working on the new class, the Tamar 47.  Mark Mason is based in Pembrokeshire and sustained damage during an emergency call out.  This type of lifeboat is extremely high tech and is worth £3million.  The nature of their work means that we have to complete work fast.

Electrical Engineering, Remote Working

To avoid disruption to the postal service on the Isles of Scilly we had just 48 hours to rewire and reinstrument this important boat.  After flying the team and equipment to the Scillies, we removed and reinstated the entire electrical infrastructure as salt had migrated into the instrumentation and equipment.
