Our ‘Respond and Assist’ service helps rescue boats when crew members are safe and there is no emergency.
Operating from dawn until dusk, 7 days a week, we aim to get members of our team to the vessel within an hour of the initial call.
Following inspection, we then offer advice on the next steps to remedy the problem.
The service is for those times when owners have a problem with their boat, but do not need the RNLI.
The majority of call outs are prompted by mechanical issues, but not all.
The call outs cost £50 + VAT and time spent assisting the vessel is charged at £52.50 + VAT per hour.
